It is easy to get a library card! If you are over 18 years of age, all you need is picture ID (a drivers license or CEU Student ID) and social security card. Fill out an application and we'll issue your first card free of charge.  If you are under 18 years of age you will need a parent or legal guardian to come to the library with you to get a library card. We will ask to see your social security number, their identification (drivers license and social security number),  and they will sign along with you on the library card application. Whenever a library card is issued, you must agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the library.

  • You must have your library card in your in your possession whenever you come to the library. All services in the library (including photocopy machines and computers) require that you have your card with you.
  • A charge of $1.00 will be made for replacement of your library card, the first time and then will go up in increments of $1.00 each successive time.
  • You must keep the library advised of any change of address, phone number or name.
  • You may not lend your library card to anyone or check items out for other people.
  • Fines and charges must be paid promptly.
  • You are responsible for any item checked out to your card. If a card is lost or stolen you must report it to the library immediately, so that we can stop items from being checked out on it.
  • Most circulating books have a checkout period of 4 weeks and have overdue fines of $.10 per day.
  • Videos and DVD's check out for 3 days and have an overdue fine of $1.00 per day.  A maximum of 3 videos/DVD's may be checked out at a time.
  • CD's check out for 1 week and have an overdue fine of $1.00 per day.  A maximum of 3 CD's may be checked out at a time.
  • Audio Books check out for 2 weeks and have a overdue fine of $1.00 a day.
  • A maximum of 10 items may be checked out on a valid library card.

A librarian will be happy to show you around the library and help you take advantage of the services provided.

Food, Drink and Tobacco Policy
Utah State Law forbids smoking anywhere in the library.  The use of smokeless tobacco has resulted in significant damage to library property and has caused additional cleaning expenses.  As food and drink can cause damage to library materials, library furnishings, and library equipment through spillage and can attract book and paper damaging insects, eating, drinking and all forms of tobacco are prohibited in the library.

Interlibrary Loan
While the services and collections of this library are designed to meet the study need of the community college student, books and copies of magazines articles from other libraries are available for your use through the Interlibrary Loan System.  However, it takes approximately a minimum of  one week for materials to arrive from other Utah libraries.  Two weeks is usually the amount of time it takes for materials coming from out-of-state libraries, though it can take up to five weeks.

Plan as far in advance as possible if you choose to use this service.
