Computers and Wi-Fi

Large screen computers with access to e-resources are available through out the Library in both Vienna and Budapest.

Free Wi-Fi allows all members to connect to the Internet and online databases using their own laptops and mobile devices. Power outlets are available throughout the reading halls.

Want to meet with a group of classmates or colleagues and work together? Try one of our collaboration rooms. Share your screen with the large screen display and use the webcam for your online meetings.

Reading areas - Vienna

The Library’s open shelf collections serve subjects from the Social Sciences and Humanities as well as specialized Law and Environmental Sciences, all located and accessible on Floor 1. The collections are arranged in call number order and CEU readers may use materials for loan or onsite.

The Library accommodates study space for reading, research and writing.  A variety of seating options are available in the main Reading Hall housing the collections and largest computer area. On the same floor, a smaller reading room offers more study places and houses the Media Hub, which includes labs for media and audio production activities.

Scanners, printers, and self-checkout and self-return workstations are also available. Soft chairs, benches and sofas offer readers in both the main Library and Media Hub area additional comfortable seating options for individual needs and learning preferences.

Reading areas - Budapest

The Library is organized in an open-shelf system with collections on five floors arranged in call number order serving subjects from the Social Sciences and Humanities as well as the specialized Law and Environmental Sciences. CEU readers may use materials for loan or onsite.

The Library accommodates study space for reading and research with a variety of seating options including desks, tables and chairs, benches, soft seats, and labs.  Study spaces for both individual and group work are available.

Library patrons can use the self-checkout and self-return workstations near the entrance to the Library.  Computer workstations, scanners, and printers are available on all floors. The nearby CEU-ELTE Medieval Library houses a specialized research collection on the ELTE campus and additional workspaces.
