Reading areas

The Library is organized in an open-shelf system with collections on all floors arranged in call number order. The specialised law and environment collections are on the 5th floor, and periodicals, theses, and reference on the 6th floor. The CEU-ELTE Medieval Library houses over 20,000 volumes in the nearby ELTE campus.

More than 400 seats, benches, and labs throughout five floors, provide inspiring options for study, research and writing. Study spaces for both individual and group work are available.

The spectacular five-floors of the new Library offer readers a unique opportunity to find a space which supports their research needs and learning styles. Many with incredible views of the Danube and others with fascinating interior views of the campus. Everyone can find a favorite nook, a hideaway seat, a collaboration room, or desk by a window. The Library is both comfortable and cozy — a home away from home.
