The OPTIMICE project devised a method that combines neural machine translation (DeepL) and human post-editing to improve the quality of article metadata (titles, abstracts, keywords, etc.) from French to English in the editorial process of journals. Speakers: Dr. Franck Barbin is an Associate Professor in Translation Studies in the School of Languages at Rennes 2 University (France); Dr. Katell Hernández Morin worked as a professional translator and reviewer for five years in translations companies, with French, English and Spanish as her working languages. She is now an Associate Professor in Specialised Translation and quality management for the Master’s degree in Translation and Technical writing at Rennes 2 University.
