The CEU Library’s Media Hub is pleased to offer training sessions on the audio recording capabilities of our Audio Lab’s Recording Studio. The sessions are led by Audio Education Specialist, Thomas Aichinger, and are open to all members of the CEU community. The Recording Studio is located in room C118 at CEU’s Quellenstrasse campus. The studio is a professional studio environment with capabilities for recording podcasts with up to four participants, as well as voice over for film, and vocal performance. Sessions will cover how to use the studio’s Rodecaster Pro audio mixer and recorder, and table mounted microphones, and an introduction to the basics of microphone technique.

Training sessions will take place:
Wednesday, October 18, 17:00-18:00
Wednesday, October 25, 17:00-18:00
Friday, October 27, 14:00-15:00

Those who complete a training session will be authorized to reserve and use the studio to produce projects related to their coursework or scholarship. There is a limit of 10 participants for each session.
To apply for a session, please email podcasts@ceu.edu and include your name, position at CEU (faculty, staff or student), unit, and briefly answer the following questions:
– What, if any, prior experience do you have in audio production?
– Why would you like to participate in this training?

Students taking the UWC 5019: Audio Production course will receive training on the studio during classes, and do not need to sign up for an above session.
