Soviet Woman was a multilingual illustrated magazine founded in 1945 by the Soviet Women’s Anti-Fascist Committee and Trade Unions and it served as a strategic propaganda tool designed to reshape Western perceptions of Soviet society. Over the years regular sections covered issues dealing with economics, politics, life abroad, life in Soviet republics, women’s fashion, as well as broader issues in culture and the arts.
