For academic year 2016-2017, we will move into a grand new CEU Library. Walk by Nador u. 15 where you can see the careful planning from the last five years being executed before your eyes.

Some key features include a hundred seat café at the library entrance, double the number of seats, more computer workstations, collaboration rooms with large screen computers & white boards, and much more.

The 21st century Library will retain some of the fine attributes of its predecessor in terms of light and function. In the words of John Tuomey, who is leading the project along with his long-time partner Sheila O’Donnell, “it will feel like something strange, new, and strangely familiar.” Translating vision and purpose into limestone, wood, and concrete with views towards the Danube, the new CEU Library is being crafted to remain vital to the intellectual life of the CEU community.
